歐洲標準ETAG002中耐人工老化項目主要包括1 008 h水一紫外光輻照、鹽霧、酸霧、清潔劑浸泡等。主要目的是利用人工模擬鹽霧環境、酸霧環境、清潔劑環境、水一紫外光輻照環境來考察這些特殊條件對丁基防水嵌縫膠老化性能的影響。另外GB/T 29595的人工老化項目主要有濕熱(DH)、濕凍(HF)和熱循環(TC)3項。一般性能較好的丁基防水嵌縫膠能夠同時滿足鹽霧、酸霧、清潔劑、水一紫外光輻照、高溫高濕、高低溫循環、高溫高濕一低溫循環等各種環境的要求。比如在DH 1000后的拉伸粘接強度保持率為70%以上，HF10和TC200后的拉伸粘接強度保持率均大于等于85%。延長試驗周期至DH1500,HF20和TC300后，丁基防水嵌縫膠仍能具有很好的拉伸強度保持率和粘接性，具有優異的耐人工老化可靠性能。
